Job Description

The Professional Services team is responsible for providing presales and implementation support to Choice Solutions’ business customers.

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining networks and devices for professional services customers. This position involves critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations, which may necessitate some extended hours of work.

This is a customer-focused, hands-on role, in which the Sr. Network Engineer will be expected to handle and resolve customer issues as well as implement new emerging technologies. This specific role is a resource with a solid understanding of networking and security.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing hardware, software, and networking systems
  • Architect, install and configure scalable networks according to client specifications
  • Conduct networking pre-sales – discuss, discover, and define customer requirements and work with account managers to achieve customers’ desired networking outcomes
  • Test and troubleshoot installed network systems
  • Resolve technical issues with networking hardware and software
  • Perform speed and security tests on installed networks
  • Apply network security upgrades
  • Upgrade and/or replace hardware and software systems when required
  • Create and present networking reports
  • Train systems engineers and end users on installed networking products
  • Provide timely execution and delivery of Statement of Work (SOW) requests
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology or similar field, or at least 10 years equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five years experience as a senior network engineer
  • Experience with Cisco, Mellanox, Aruba, and Ruckus preferred
  • CCNA, CCNP, or vendor-specific equivalent certifications preferred
  • Certifications and/or experience with next-generation firewalls, preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet
  • Certification and/or experience with Citrix NetScaler
  • Microsoft Azure network certifications/experience
  • Detailed knowledge of networking systems in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with wide-area networking and network virtualization
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify, deploy and manage complex networking systems
  • Experience training end users and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective documentation
  • Must obtain and maintain industry certifications for continued growth
  • Ability to remain calm and stay focused in pressurized customer-down situations

Professional Services Requirements & Expectations:

  • Will be available via Slack, email, and phone to provide timely answers to team members, vendors, and customers
  • Perform after-hours duties on an as-needed basis
  • Assist the team where needed by actively working on customer issues, handling calls, assisting other team members in issue resolutions, etc.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the team by sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise with other team members.
  • Interact with the service delivery team, managed services engineers, and account managers to provide our customers with the Choice Experience
  • Must directly interact with various customers
  • Ability to work within a team through virtual media outlets
  • Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven to see projects through to completion
