The IT world is buzzing with Citrix’s latest leadership changes and the ongoing shifts in the EUC (End-User Computing) landscape. With top executives making moves, new events on the horizon, and even a bit of BBQ talk, it’s an exciting time for anyone involved in Citrix and EUC solutions. Let’s dive into what’s happening in the Citrix world and the upcoming events to look out for.
Citrix Leadership Changes and Big Moves
Citrix recently made some significant leadership changes that are stirring excitement in the EUC industry. One of the key moves was Sean Bass joining Citrix after his stint with VMware. Bass, known for his expertise in EUC, played a pivotal role in driving VMware’s Horizon solutions and transforming them into a powerhouse. His return to Citrix has sparked renewed energy, and many in the industry are excited to see how he will shape the company’s future.
Shawn, who was also instrumental in VMware’s success, joined Citrix as well. With decades of experience, his technical understanding and leadership are expected to significantly enhance Citrix’s EUC solutions, security features, and overall product vision. The leadership changes come at a crucial time for Citrix, as they continue to innovate and compete in the rapidly evolving EUC space.
The addition of Brian Madden, a well-known figure in the EUC community, to Citrix’s leadership is also notable. Known for his deep dives into EUC and workspaces, Madden’s expertise in enterprise AI is seen as a natural next step for Citrix. His insights and public speaking skills will undoubtedly help in shaping Citrix’s strategies as they push forward in the ever-evolving EUC space.
EUC Events You Can’t Miss
If you’re in the EUC ecosystem, there are a number of key events coming up where you can get a deeper understanding of the industry’s future. Choice Solutions will be attending several of these events, including Amplify, a major EUC event where many EUC professionals will gather to discuss the latest developments.
Additionally, events like EEL Disrupt and Ignite are on the radar for the Choice team, where executives from Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft will discuss their visions for AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), VMware’s VDI solutions, and the growing role of Microsoft Cloud PC. These events provide an invaluable opportunity to network with top professionals and gain insights into the evolving EUC and cloud space.
Choice Solutions is also gearing up for a number of local events, including a Big 12 watch party and Top Golf events, where they’ll engage with clients, partners, and industry professionals. These informal settings allow for deeper conversations and connection-building, which is essential for staying ahead in the ever-changing tech landscape.
BBQ Talk and Cooking Tips
While EUC discussions are heating up, it’s not all business. Some fun BBQ talk also made its way into the conversation, with several leaders sharing their favorite weekend meals. Patrick, known for his excellent brisket, is a fan of grilling every weekend, preparing large cuts of meat that everyone loves. He’s got the method down, and his secret? Vacuum-sealing leftover brisket for a quick meal later.
Shane, who recently got into cooking, shared his excitement about learning to make fresh pasta. Though he’s more into grilling steaks and burgers, the desire to master fresh pasta highlights his passion for culinary exploration. His go-to meal for the weekend is simple: hamburgers, hot dogs, and a few steaks for good measure.
For those interested in grilling, Shane’s advice is to invest in a good charcoal grill, like a Weber kettle. This grill offers versatility, allowing users to experiment with both direct and indirect cooking methods, which are perfect for achieving that delicious smoky flavor that gas grills just can’t replicate.
Looking Ahead to More EUC Innovation and Delicious BBQ
As Citrix and other industry leaders continue to innovate, there’s plenty to look forward to in the EUC space. Whether you’re attending one of the upcoming events or just catching up with the latest leadership moves, the future of EUC is bright. And, when it’s time to unwind, there’s nothing like some good BBQ to keep things fresh.
