Overview of IGEL Disrupt 2023

Choice Solutions team members attended IGEL’s Disrupt Technology Conference in early April to hear about the latest announcements from IGEL. IGEL Disrupt was one of the largest in-person end-user computing (EUC) events since the pandemic. IGEL hosted more than 800 attendees at the 2023 Disrupt and end-user Computing (EUC) Forum held in Nashville, TN, April 3-5, 2023. The Conference offers education, inspiration, and market-leading insights from top industry visionaries across the EUC community. IGEL Disrupt focuses on how to optimize the delivery of secure, high-performance digital workspaces to increasingly distributed hybrid workforces, from the cloud.

The theme and focus of Disrupt 2023 were around saying “YES” to delivering richer, secure, cost-effective, and sustainable digital workspaces. How desktops and applications are delivered continues to change. Hybrid work continues to push companies to look for ways to deliver access to digital workspaces that are easy to use, easier to manage, secure, and highly available.

IGEL’s OS 12 (COSMOS) Announcement  

IGEL announced the release of their new operating system IGEL OS 12 (COSMOS). IGEL COSMOS is a new secure endpoint platform that has fully separated the IGEL OS endpoint operating system from local and cloud-delivered apps. It will make connecting to solutions like Citrix and Windows 365 easier. A key architectural aspect of IGEL COSMOS is that IGEL OS is fully separate from the apps and services and updated and patched independently.
