This privacy policy for Choice Solutions, L.L.C. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our“), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, process, use, and/or share your information when we provide you, directly or indirectly, with our Services (as such term is defined in Section 2, below).

1. Information We Collect

We may collect, send, retain, or otherwise use your personal information when you use, receive, or are a party to our Services, when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our Services, when you participate in activities with respect to the Services, or when you voluntarily provide information to us.  Depending on the circumstances, you may have a right to know if we collect your personal information, the categories of collection, the purposes it’s used for, whether we sell your information, and the business or commercial purposes for collecting your information. Therefore, and if applicable, we will notify you of such collection efforts.

The personal information we collect may include any of the following:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Billing information (address and financial data)
  • Company name and related information
  • Industry
  • Job title
  • Phone number
  • Contact preferences
  • Authentication or verification data
  • Web data (ip address, browser data, web beacons, cookies, etc.)
  • Log, device, and location data
  • Social media data, including logins or other information shared with us

When necessary, and with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, we may collect sensitive information, such as demographic data, location data, preferential data, or other personally identifying data.  However, in the normal course of our Services we will not typically collect this data, and therefore we recommend not sending it to us unless it becomes necessary. Additionally, the device you use may have the ability to restrict this information, such as by turning off location sharing, and we suggest you review your device settings and options for more information.

You may decline to provide any or all of your data and information at any time, but doing so may prevent functionality with respect to Services, including an inability for us to provide Services to you.

2. Services we Provide; Use of Personal Information

We are in the business of providing information technology services, including installation, consulting, integration, managed services, and/or educational services, along with other related actions including, but not limited to, maintaining a website, marketing, and social media presence (collectively the “Services”). In short, any interaction you have with us, whether specifically listed in the preceding sentence or not, may involve a provision of Services where this privacy policy may become applicable.

As part of provisioning Services, we may collect (manually or automated), combine, receive, or otherwise use personal information to provide Services or for other legitimate business purposes. That said, we do not process and sell personal information as a primary business function, and as such the use of the information as described herein will typically be used only in a manner necessary for us to provide Services to you, or in a way logically related to providing the Services. Some examples of when and how we may use and/or share your personal information include:

  • Communicating with you, including responding to inquiries or following-up with you if you have expressed an interest in our Services
  • When used with the delivery of Services as part of our normal workflow
  • Authenticating information and creating and managing accounts, including financial accounts, as needed, for the provision of Services
  • To protect vital interests if we determine it is needed as protection of our customers, to protect life, or to secure our Services including our intellectual property rights in the same
  • Sharing personal information with partners and vendors where you have instructed us to do so or where it is logically needed to allow such third parties to take action that we deem reasonably requested by you, and as more fully discussed in the Section 4, below

3. Cookies

We use a third-party web hosting provider, and such provider may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar and other tracking technologies when you use our website or the Services.  Cookies may contain your identifying information and may be transmitted to you and stored on your device.  Your browser and/or device may have the ability to manage your cookie settings, and we recommend you review the same to see your options.

4. When and With Whom We share Personal Information

We may share your personal information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents (“third parties“) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place with our third parties which are designed to help safeguard your personal information through a commitment to not share your personal information with any organization apart from us and/or impose applicable confidentiality restrictions on such information sharing. The categories of third parties we may share personal information with are as follows:

 

  • Data Analytics Services, including Google API(s) and services such as Google Analytics
  • Manufacturers and vendors to quote or fulfill an order as part of our Services
  • Payment processors and banking partners
  • Legal counsel, accountants, auditors, and similar professionals
  • Our sales, marketing, and advertising partners, including for supporting our events, populating tools and databases, and cross-promoting partnerships
  • When we work with any affiliated or controlled subsidiaries or other entities
  • Other service providers used in our normal course of business
  • To any other reasonably related third parties to assist with an inquiry into products, services, or promotions

5.Retention of Personal information

We retain your personal information while fulfilling the purposes outlined in this privacy policy.   When we have no ongoing business need to retain or process your personal information, we typically either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored or archived as part of our data retention practices or your information cannot be legally deleted), then we will securely store your personal information until deletion is possible.

6. Safety of Information

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any information you provide to us or that we process. However, despite these implementations, no electronic transmission or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee unauthorized third parties will not improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Therefore, although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from us, and during the provision of our Services, is at your own risk. To help mitigate risks related to your information, we recommend you only access the Services or send your information within a secure environment.

From time to time we may provide links to other third-parties websites, and for clarity we are not in control of or responsible for these third-parties’ data processing or privacy practices.  When you click such a third-party link, we are not responsible for the information provided on such link, nor with the hosting entity’s privacy or data practices.

7. Audience; No Children

The Services we provide are intended for business professionals, and a such we do not intend for any use by a minor, and specifically excluding anyone under 13.  As such, we do not knowingly obtain, process, use, or collect information of children.  If you are a child’s parent or guardian and become aware of our use of such child’s information, please contact us and we will promptly remove such information in accordance with applicable law.

8. Rights Under State Law

Depending on your state of residence you may have additional and specific rights regarding your personal information.  Provided below is a review of state-specific rights potentially applicable as of the effective date of this privacy policy.  General information applicable to multiple states is also provided in this section to help you understand your potential state law rights.

Several states have laws regarding the sale of personal data, but as provided otherwise in this privacy policy, we do not sell such personal data and will not do so without a conspicuous notification provided in an updated privacy policy or other communication.

Further, state law typically provides the ability to opt-out of targeted advertising, which we usually provide in any communication sent to you in the form of an “unsubscribe” or similar button. You may also contact us as provided in this privacy policy and we will remove you from such targeted advertising lists in accordance with the provisions of this privacy policy and applicable law.

State law may also provide the ability to request that your information be corrected and/or deleted.  When applicable, correction and/or deletion requests are subject to verification and may be limited by our legally allowable retention objectives, which are further discussed in Section 10 of this privacy policy.

Additional information regarding State-specific legal rights is as follows:

  • California – Under the “Shine the Light” law, you may request, once a year, for information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. You may also request the deletion of your personal data, or the correction of inaccurate data, by submitting a request as provided otherwise in this privacy policy.
  • Colorado – You may request to know, correct, delete, and/or obtain your personal data, or a copy as applicable. You may also have the right to opt-out of targeted advertising, if applicable.
  • Connecticut – You may request to know, correct, delete, and/or obtain your personal data, or a copy as applicable. You may also have the right to opt-out of targeted advertising, if applicable.
  • Nevada – You may request to opt-out of certain information sales.
  • Virginia – You may request to know, correct, delete, and/or obtain your personal data, or a copy as applicable. You may also have the right to opt-out of targeted advertising, if applicable.

9. Updates to this Policy

From time to time it may become necessary for us to amend and change this privacy policy.  We will publish changes on our website, and they will be effective as soon as they are published.  If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will prominently indicate as such in the new privacy policy or in another reasonable manner.  We encourage you to review this privacy policy frequently to monitor changes and understand how we are handling your information.

Please note, your continued use of the Services will constitute your agreement and consent to any changes to this privacy policy. 

10. Rights with Your Personal information

In brief, you may request that we correct and/or delete your personal information, and we will generally follow that request unless we have a legitimate reason or are not required to, which would most likely be applicable in cases where the deletion would cause the inability for us to effectively provide Services.

If you ask us to delete your personal information, again, we will typically respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to additional exceptions such as, but not limited to, as needed to functionally provide Services, those provided by law or regulation, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation such as a legal hold, retention of logs for cybersecurity purposes, fraud prevention, or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.

If you request your personal information be deleted or modified, or if you request a copy of the same, we will need to verify your identity. We will only use any personal information you provide for verification to confirm your identity or authority to make the request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for the purposes of verification. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. To the extent possible, we will delete such additionally provided information as soon as we finish verifying you.
