Overview

The objective of this project is to provide the customer with implementation services for a Citrix 3D Pro + NVIDIA Jumpstart allowing for a much richer User Experience (UX) that can be unlocked using a GPU-enabled Workspace for high-definition graphics capabilities.

By default, today’s desktops and applications are going to try and take advantage of hardware acceleration and in many scenarios require this capability. Providing a Modern Workspace that either requires or would benefit from GPU enablement is a task that requires a whole new decision tree of advanced talking points to get it just right. Application requirements and hardware acceleration enablement, Video compression (H.264/H.265, AV1, VP8 VP9, etc.) bandwidth requirements, FPS, pixels, resolution, number of monitors, vGPU licensing, endpoint capabilities, encode/decode support, YUV 4:2:0 vs YUV 4:4:4, Citrix and Microsoft GPU specific policies, and the list goes on and on for all of the various considerations and design decisions that are critical when moving to a GPU-enabled Workspace.
